All of our baits are hand tied and the Muskie Attacker BIG Chuck model is no exception. Each layer is tied to a finished head and coated with head cement. We use a mix of high quality, long colorfast deer hair and generous amounts of flash fibers, such as Flashabou and Krystal Flash.
The BIG Chuck is tied on two cables, both heads glittered and 2 coats of epoxy to seal the heads, with a 7/0 VMC treble hook in between them. It is keel weighted with a second 7/0 VMC treble hook in the rear.
Because we connect the blade assembly via a split ring, the large double 10 blades create a very subtle swimming/swaying action to the skirt on top of great amounts of undulation, created by the vortex of the double 10 blades.
We use .051 wire on all our baits, bent by hand using round anvil pliers, to ensure perfect bends every time. Wolverine Triple Wrap Split Rings, solid beads and bodies and blades painted by us, so they are always up to our standards.
